1 Boolean Function Approach for Reliability of Milk Power Plant

In this Paper the author has worked on Milk Power Plant.The objective of this paper is to find the reliability of Milk Power Plant using Boolean function technique the failure and repair rates of the subsystem. The whole system consists of six parts. First part of the system is a material input (Raw milk).Second part of the system is Energy input (Fuel). Third part of the system is a Processing Plant. Fourth part of the system is Plant services. Fifth part of the system is Milk Packing. The Six part of the system is Delivery to customer. These six parts are connected in series. The author has used the Boolean functions to evaluate the ability of the considered system. Reliability of the each component that has been obtained in three different cases is denoted by R, if failure rates follow Weibull time distribution and the failure follow exponential time distribution.

2 Operational Readiness of Steam Power Plant System Using Neural Network Approach

This paper deals with reliability and profit analysis of a steam power plant system. The system is divided into four main subsystems. A multilayered neural network model is used in order to improve the maintenance of the steam power plant system. The system may fail due to hardware failure. All types of failures and repairs are exponential. System state probabilities and other parameters are developed for the proposed model using neural network approach. Numerical examples are included to demonstrate the results. The iterations are repeated till the convergence in the error tends up to 0.0001 precision

3 Modelling And Availability Analysis Using Single Unit Power Cable In Metro Railways

The current study of the metro network system discusses the reliability modelling and system availability of this failure resistant network through power cables. The function of the cables is used for supplying power to substations from each station. The study is concentrated taking single unit cable of 33 KV with no standby unit. The inspection is carried out at each failure to access the systems repairable or irreparable condition. The calculations to measure Mean Time to System Failure (MTSF) and Availability Analysis (AA) are completed using “Semi-Markov Processes” and “Regenerative Point Technique”. The results are represented graphically

4 The Survey of Packet Loss Differentiation Techniques in TCP

In wireless network packet loss occurs due to congestion, Wireless channel error and link failure. Here Transmission control protocol cannot respond the packet loss properly. It degrades its performance by presuming the loss due to congestion. So it has become important to find the reasons behind these losses for improvement in TCP's performance. Many researchers have worked in this area and evaluated algorithms which differentiate the cause of packet losses. This paper surveys about various techniques mitigate Packet Loss Differentiation as well as focuses on certain open areas for future research. Most of the surveyed reveals that researchers have worked for the congestion loss only, handful schemes cannot identify the link failure loss. The TCP's performance can be improved with proper loss recovery technique, suitable congestion avoidance scheme and there can be mechanism to switch between suitable Loss Recovery Algorithm (LRA) or congestion avoidance scheme automatically as per identified loss.
